Another intern and I decided to go to Emerald Lake when there was still snow on the ground.  And let me tell you, there was a lot of snow left!  For most of the time we had to of been above the trail by at least 3 feet of snow.  Surprisingly it wasn't all too cold.  This was my true inaugural hike since being back in Colorado.
