I first did this hike on May 20th and I went to the summit.  It is called Horsetooth Mountain because if you look at if fro a distance, it looks like the front two teeth of a horse.  The summit elevation is 7,256 feet.  It's a good  initial  conditioning hike for my future hike of a fourteen thousand foot mountain.  There are a bunch of other trails to hike other than the summit trail and those pictures are here.

  • Flowers in a rolling meadow
  • Valley seen from summit
  • Mountains from summit
  • Me on the summit!
  • Fort Collins from the summit
  • Going down the trail
  • Trail looking off to the North
  • Looking to the East
  • A nice shot
  • A Lily?
  • A meadow with Horsetooth Rock
  • Artsy barbed wire
