I first did this hike on May 20th and I went to the summit. It is called Horsetooth Mountain because if you look at if fro a distance, it looks like the front two teeth of a horse. The summit elevation is 7,256 feet. It's a good initial conditioning hike for my future hike of a fourteen thousand foot mountain.
